About Lindsay

Lindsay is a classically trained Pilates Instructor as well as an Advanced MELT Instructor.  Lindsay started her Pilates journey 15 years ago as a student and completed her fully comprehensive training in 2013.  Lindsay worked closely with her mentor, Cher Aslor of Ph7 Pilates, for the entire duration of her training.  In 2020, Lindsay completed an advanced Pilates Masters course, The Heritage Training with Cara Reeser.  Lindsay has also completed Level 1 and Level 2 trainings for the Balanced Body, CoreAlign Apparatus.

In 2015 Lindsay discovered the MELT method and spent the following 5 years training to become a fully advanced practitioner and instructor of MELT.  She worked with the founder and creator of MELT, Sue Hitzmann, for those 5 years.   She has served as a teaching assistant for multiple MELT training classes. Additionally she completed a full body direction with Hitzmann and Somonaut, Gil Hedley in 2019 to gain a better understanding of the connective tissue system, muscular system and skeletal system.

When not teaching Lindsay spends time working on site words and multiplying fractions with her daughters!  She also is known to try and get her husband to take long walks in the neighborhood with their dog!!

My Story

I found Pilates prior to my first pregnancy and instantly fell in love with the way my body felt; toned, lengthened, juicy and worked.  It was when we found out we were pregnant with our first child that I really invested time into my Pilates practice and was going to class 2 times a week until I was 38 weeks pregnant. I suffered chronic pain in my hips and knees starting at 12 weeks.  Pilates was the only thing that kept my hips and knees in proper alignment allowing my day to day living to be pain free.

After our daughter was born I spent a year learning and training to become a classically certified Pilates Instructor. I was lucky enough to teach for my mentor and continue to take lessons with her so I can feel the work in my own body and be the best teacher for my students.  I have been teaching Pilates to groups, semi-privates and private students for over 3 years  in the Denver and Parker area.

I found MELT after suffering an unexplained knee injury. I went to five different health professionals and specialists to find out why it hurt to move the joint or if I put any body weight on that leg. I was told I was aging (I was 33!!) and should do more inner thigh work.

I was in pain and couldn't sleep.  It was hard to move and difficult to teach.  My day to day living was being completely affected by this chronic pain.  I googled solutions to chronic unexplained pain. What appeared on my google search was MELT. I borrowed the Melt Method book from the local library and began to read; that is when I had the "AHHH HA moment."  After reading the book I immediately purchased the book, balls and roller. Within 2 weeks I could actually put weight on my knee, walk, practice, teach and live pain free!!

Pilates helped me immensely with my first pregnancy. Pilates in conjunction with the Hand and Foot Melting made my second pregnancy pain free!!  Post pregnancy, I feel so much more connected to my body and see drastic differences in my body movements, energy levels and sleep everyday. While I am happy that my body is in a much better place, my true happiness is when my clients and I see changes in their bodies after we have incorporated Pilates, subtle body movements and/or the MELT Method into their daily lives.
