Pilates + MELT®
Pilates is a series of non-impact exercises designed by Joseph Pilates to develop strength, flexibility, balance, and inner awareness. Pilates can be practiced on the mat with out without small props and on various apparatus including the reformer, cadillac, chair, and barrels.
It is a form of strength and flexibility training that can be done by all regardless of level of fitness or age. The exercises can be adapted for people who are injured or have a limited range of movement.
Pilates promotes a feeling of physical and mental well-being and develops inner physical awareness. There are 6 key principles of Pilates;
Through the method and these principles Pilates strengthens and lengthens the muscles without creating bulk. Pilates also improves posture and balance, increases flexibility, circulation and is helpful in preventing and rehabilitating from injuries.
